In the midst of thick forest of the Koyna tiger reserve, fort Vasota is a treat to visit…
capital of Matatha kingdom
January has been really breath taking, after Dhodap fort, we successfully trek the Vasota fortress, capital of Matatha kingdom after chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. I think, no trekker is complete unless and until he visit Vasota. The hill of lord Nageshwar is a bonus. The descent is so steep that with all the loaded sack it can really tire you. The humidity of Konkan really added to our woes.
